Join us for a preliminary planting and clean-up of the Atkins Park node of Virginia Highland District on Saturday, October 10 from 10am-2pm!
On Saturday, October 10th, we are inviting volunteers to meet us at North Highland Park to plant 12-15 new planters for the Atkins Park sidewalks. Each planter will be filled with rocks, soil, topsoil, and lush perennial flowers for all to enjoy throughout the winter months.
Our third and regular VaHi Fall Planting will be held on Saturday, November 14th from 10-2pm, where we will meet in front of Moe’s and Joe’s to replant our existing supply of planters.
With over 100 existing planters in all three nodes of Virginia Highland District, it is critical to have volunteer help! This event is perfect for those looking for community service hours, to get your hands dirty, or to meet new friends.
