A warm community in a winter wonderland.
December 9 & 10, 2022
Virginia Highland Winterfest will begin with a Tour of Lights on Friday to show off the neighborhood’s most vibrant holiday decorations. On Saturday, we will start off with a Jingle Jog, followed by a Holiday Parade. The day will rev up with one of the biggest in-town holiday markets, with live music to pair.
Tour of Lights
Celebrating beautiful holiday homes in Virginia Highland.
Winterfest will kick off with the Tour of Lights, a ticketed event on Friday, December 9, from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm.
Walk around the neighborhood to view the first showing of our favorite decorated homes. There will be beverages and holiday treats at some stops. Participants will receive a Virginia Highland commemorative mug for your sipping delights, along with a map of the event.

Jingle all the way.
Kick-start the holiday season with a costume run for all levels!
The Jingle Jog will take place from 10 to 11 am on Lanier Blvd. Runners will jog about two miles and receive Virginia Highland gear as a token for participation. Bring your bells for extra cheer! This is not a timed race.
Deck the halls - and neighborhood!
It’s time to deck the halls and get decked out in your favorite holiday garb!
The Holiday Parade will follow the Jingle Jog from 11 am to 12 pm on Lanier Blvd. It will start at University and go down to Los Angeles.
Holiday Market & Live Music
Gifts worth giving.
The core of Winterfest is our holiday market, with over 50 local artisanal vendors. Stock up on the best holiday gifts from the most unique local vendors in town! Whether you’re looking for art, jewelry, candles, clothing, cleaning supplies, plants, or home goods, this market will blow your mind. The market will run from 12 to 6 pm.
Fun for the whole family!
Bring your little Winterfest goers to the Kids Corner for some fun and games! Details coming soon.
Volunteer at Winterfest
Join the Winterfest crew!
Support our neighborhood by volunteering to help out at Winterfest! Whether you need community service hours for high school or you just love to see the neighborhood blossom, we could use your help. Volunteers will help set up and break down, register guests for the jog and parade, assist with the Kids Corner, help Tour of Lights house hosts, and guide Winterfest goers to event locations.
All volunteers will receive a Winterfest t-shirt and one drink ticket.
Safety and Logistics
Keeping our neighborhood happy.
We would like to keep this event safe and healthy. The event will include a first-aid booth, hand sanitizer stations, and public restrooms. Because of the size of the event, we ask that you leave your cute pets at home.
Parking will be limited, so we recommend walking, biking, and carpooling! Lanier Blvd will be closed off for the Jingle Jog and Parade, and Hudson Dr. will be closed for the Holiday Market. Please plan accordingly to avoid these streets.
Open alcoholic beverages must remain within the festival perimeter.
Please patronize your local businesses if you would like to use their restroom facilities.
