A Sunny Start to the Season

The VaHi Farmers Market opened on April 13
April 17, 2025

The Virginia Highland Farmers Market made its triumphant return on a picture-perfect spring morning on April 13, 2025. With blue skies, blooming flowers, and a gentle breeze in the air, the whole neighborhood came out to celebrate.

This season kicked off with our biggest market yet—75 vendors strong, up from a weekly line up of 50 in our pilot season last fall. It’s safe to say the market has officially cemented itself as the place to be on Sundays: a weekly tradition for neighbors to gather, shop, and enjoy the simple pleasures of community life.

Bread and Butter Farms joins the market this season.

Meet our Farmers and Fan-Favorites

You can find just about everything you need at the market—from fresh groceries to pastries, from coffee to handmade home goods. This year, we’re thrilled to welcome premier farmers including:

Fan favorites also returned in full force. Colette Bread held a consistently long line with its irresistible pastries, Manalo’s brought the flavor with Filipino treats, and Grand Prix Bakery kept us stocked with their signature Bosnian breads. Coffee lovers got their fix too, with local favorites Ash Coffee and San Francisco Coffee brewing up the good stuff.

Beyond the Groceries

Shopping at the market goes beyond your fridge. Shoppers browsed home and lifestyle vendors like:

  • Ora by Alisa (candles)
  • Weld ATL (permanent jewelry)
  • Turnrow Bath, Body, and Home (beauty)
  • Bex Pottery (ceramics)
  • Dena Rose Vintage (home goods)
  • Matchmaker Marietta (books)
  • Rachel Made It (jewelry)

Family Fun & Fresh Programming

This season is expected to bring even more to love. Expect activities and entertainment at every market. Opening day featured Craft Time with Ms. Liz, Storytime with Ms. Sheri hosted by Virginia Highland Books, and a delicious chef demo from Executive Chef Matt of Murphy’s, who served up a refreshing spring cold soup that hit the spot even at breakfast time.

Coming up this season, look out for egg hunts, watermelon eating contests, yoga and pilates classes, more chef demos, and more kid-friendly fun. As always, the Virginia-Highland Elementary School (VHE) playground is open during market hours.

Support Local, Stay Local

After the market, we always encourage you to keep that community spirit going by strolling down North Highland Avenue and supporting the amazing small businesses that make our neighborhood so special.
