If you have driven down Drewry St, you probably recognize the infamous mailbox with a friendly face. Stetson Moen, a part-time artist, painted his dog Lucy on his mailbox when he moved to the neighborhood. Even though Stetson and Lucy now call Virginia Highland home, the two have been everywhere together. “We actually did van life for a while,” Stetson says.
The two have traveled to 30 states together. “She’s even been to the Grand Canyon. We’ve snuck her into some pretty cool places.” Lucy has seen it all, even inspiring her own lighthouse calendar posing in front of 12 different lighthouses along the east coast.
The pair is proud to call our neighborhood home. They are even hosting a Porchfest band this year. “We love this neighborhood. It is so walkable and close to so many different bars and restaurants. It’s a great place to call home.”
Next time you run into Stetson and Lucy, be sure to say hi and ask about their travels. We guarantee it will make your day.
